EN. Layering us, 2020

Layering us is a space built to distort and blur our perception. It is a fluid space which plays on confusing the audience’s senses to make them more aware of their own presence in a space. A sense of contradicting emotions emerge to the surface where the intrigue of the unknown and the serenity of the body meet visual discomfort and tightness of the space. Disruption is created by touch, smell, sound and the presence or absence of other people in the installation.

Layering us est un espace où notre perception se retrouve perturbée. Jouant sur la confusion des sens, cette installation nous invite à être plus sensible à notre rapport à l'espace. Un sentiment d’émotions contradictoires veut émerger à la surface où plaisir de l’inconnu et sérénité du corps se mélangent au trouble de la perception et l’exiguïté de l’espace. La perturbation est créée par le toucher, l’odorat, l’ouïe et la présence ou l’absence de participants au sein de l’installation.
